Zscaler Engineer in Tel Aviv: team lead chat, an onsite with Min Stack, an append-only log SQL problem and LRU Cache, then the R&D director

I interviewed at Zscaler (Tel Aviv). The process was 3 rounds, a pretty even split between behavioral style and technical rounds. The second round was on site, and had 3 parts.

Behavioral 1

First round was a Zoom interview with the team lead. He told me about the team and what they work on, answered my questions on the role. Then some questions on my previous projects and asked what made me want to join.

Technical 2

First part of the onsite round was a LC question I'd seen before, Implement min stack in O(1). Knew I'd passed it because I practiced it before and was able to answer it quickly.

Next round was SQL oriented which involved using an append only log. The question was to implement a query where you can only use insert, but to the user it seems like they can use delete, update and truncate. I hadn't seen this before but the interviewer helped guide me along the way and I got it passing the tests in the end.

Last one was another I'd seen before here on TechPrep and comes up in lots of commonly asked question guides, LRU Cache. Was able to answer this one handily as well and was confident I was in to the next round.

Behavioral 3

Final round was another behavioral style round with the R&D director. They asked some more behavioral questions that were all things I'd prepared answers for before using the behavioral playbook.
