Interview Process Breakdown

1. Online Assessment (OA)

• Platform: HackerRank

• Duration: 75 to 100 minutes

• Contents:

  • 1 to 2 coding and algorithmic questions (ranging from easy HashMaps to medium/hard Dynamic Programming, arrays, or strings).

2. Technical Round - 1 (DSA & Coding)

• Duration: 60 minutes

• Focus: Problem-solving with DSA

Problem Asked:

• Binary Search Problem - Gas Station Problem.(Target based Binary Search)

• DP Medium level Question - Partition Array Types.

3. Technical Round - 2 (DSA & Coding)

• Duration: 60 minutes

• Focus: Problem-solving with DSA

Problem Asked:

• BST problem Easy (Formation of BST) - BST Creation from Arary.(Includes Sorting and inorder Traversal).

• Topo Sort Medium-Hard (Receipes Problem) - Chefs and Receipe Problem (PreRequisite Type).

4. Low-Level Design (LLD) / System Design

• Duration: 60 minutes

• Problem Asked -

Coupon Cancellation System - Where Different Refund Startegies as well as Prevent Duplicate Coupons to be processed Again and Concurrency handling.

Includes Detailed Discussion on various Design Patterns used and How extensible the code could we make basis the current problem

Also State Machine traversal of Coupon.

5. Hiring Manager / Behavioral Round

• Duration: 60 minutes

• Focus: Deep dive into your resume, projects, tech stack choices and behavioral/situational questions - Also Answer in STAR Pattern.

• Culture Fit: Evaluated against Expedia’s core company values (such as Force Multiplication, Inclusion, Transparency, and Go Get What's Next).

This includes Team Project Discussion and also how AI related stuffs are used and opted for solving core-engineering problem within the team and domain.
