Globant Interview Process - Senior Software Engineer

Role is for Full Stack Engineer, with experience tech stack like React, Nodejs & AWS. Total 3 rounds, I made it till first round.

Recruiter Call

Enquired about my skills & experience if it's fit to the Job profile. Asked about my hands-on experiences in AWS specifically Lambda, SQS, Cloud Formation, RDS, API Gateway. A production scale issue that I've resolved.

First Round

Started with an Intro, followed by technical questions and live coding.

Technical Questions:

• OOP concepts

  • what's static method in a class

  • Interface vs abstract class

• Javascript questions

  • Explain Hoisting & Closures with an example

  • Is javascript an Asynchronous language?

  • How would you handle asynchronosity in javascript using Promises, their statuses and responses.

• React questions

  • What's useState and useEffect?

  • What's Lazy Loading?

  • What's Conditional Rendering?

  • How would you show live events in the dashboard without refreshing the page?

• SQL questions

  • What's indexing and cluster VS non-cluster indexes?

Live Coding:

1. Reverse a string

2. Find duplicates

I couldn't answer react questions - lazy loading and show live events in the dashboard without refreshing the page. The solution was to use something like websockets or long polling.
