MakeMyTrip Interview Process - Mid-level Software Engineer
There were in total 3 rounds.
Round 1: DSA + Problem Solving Round
Where interviewer asked LRU Cache Problem and he asked about my resume as well.
In LRU Cache Problem, the interviewer asked follow ups about why I used a doubly linked list used and time and space complexity.
Round 2: LLD Round - Held with Staff Engineer
I was asked to design a LeetCode type Contest Scheduler. The requirements were:
User can register, view profiles, and track solved/attempted problems.
The system must store problem (sample test cases + evaluation) categories by difficulty Easy, Medium and Hard along with time and memory limits.
User can submit code in languages like Java, Python and C++
System must return a clear execution status - ACCEPTED , WRONG_ANSWER etc.
Admin can schedule timed contests
Due to time constraints I wasn't able to complete them all but also be prepared to discuss the Core Entities and API Design.
Round 3: Hiring Manager Round + HLD + Behaviour
The interviewer asked me about my resume and then be prepared to architect the high level design of the projects you mention since it. They also asked some standard behaviour and situation based questions covered here.
Result: Rejection
Not sure what they are looking for in approx 45 min, but maybe really know your projects in detail and be able to draw them out well.
