System design interviews are tough.Not only does the interviewer know the system better than you.They are also essentially unbounded problems because the interviewer can go deeper at any part of the design.However, there is good news.Every system design usually follows the same process. And once you know this process it makes interviews a breeze.So if you have an interview coming up in the next two weeks, you are in the right place.No fluff. Just the exact set of questions you need to study to pass the interview.
You should aim to know all of them after 4 days (10 hours) of study.Once you know them well you will be in the perfect position to start step 2 of the process.
When all three modes are used together they are an extremely powerful tool.We recommend you first watch the video solution to get an idea of the overall system design. You should spend roughly 30 minutes watching this video solution.Then spend at least 1 hour reading the write up to ensure you understand all the concepts.
Finally, once you are confident you should test yourself against the AI whiteboard where you will be able to go through the interview exactly like how an interviewer expects and draw out your solution and get focused AI feedback.Keep practicing using the AI whiteboard until you know it well. This will be the single biggest differentiator between you and other candidates and will help you stand out as a top applicant.That means by the end of the 14 days you will have studied the fundamental core concepts and 10 system designs. If you have more time you should continue studying more of the system design questions as the more you study the greater the chance you will be asked a question you already know.Here is the full day by day breakdown:

Interview Structure

Study Structure
We’re assuming you have a full time job and don’t want to spend every waking hour in front of a computer.However, since you only have 2 weeks and if you want to compete against candidates that have been studying for months, you will need to grind it out.You should aim to set aside 2.5 hours to study per day or change it to what works best for your schedule.The only requirement is that you have 35 hours (2.5 hours x 14 days) to study.
